What’s the difference between grass-fed and grass-finished?

Grass-fed is a term used for both beef cows and dairy cows that eat grass as hay or pasture for a majority of their diet. "Grass-finished" is only a term used for beef cows, not for milking cows. Grass-finished beef cattle means that in the weeks prior to butcher, they fatten-up by eating grass (instead of corn). All our cows eat grass, they don't eat corn or corn silage.

Still curious about our milk?

Is the milk free of hormones?

We don’t use hormones for milk production, and dairies don’t use growth hormone anymore anyways. (In ALL milk, there is some minute level of naturally-occuring growth hormone, but that has no effect on humans whatsoever.)

Is your milk tested?

Our cows are checked thoroughly at every milking, and also our milk is tested by a state inspector every several weeks.
